• What is the Xybix Falcon?

  The Xybix Falcon is a self-contained, single-position console designed for demanding 24/7 environments, including 911 and public safety, security operations, command centers, network operations, and training rooms. Unlike traditional modular console systems, Falcon is engineered as a single factory-built unit that arrives mostly pre-assembled and pre-wired for a faster, simpler installation. 

• What is the difference between the Falcon and other Xybix consoles?

  The Falcon, Eagle, and XM desks are all designed for 24/7 mission-critical environments, but they take different approaches to customization.

  The Falcon is a streamlined, self-contained console with a carefully selected range of sizes, storage options, technology configurations, and finishes. This simplifies the design and specification process while still giving organizations flexibility where it matters most.

  The Eagle line offers a much broader range of customization for rooms and applications that require highly specialized configurations. If your priority is a sleek, integrated console with a straightforward design process, Falcon may be the better fit. If your project requires extensive customization, Eagle provides greater flexibility.

• How much does the Falcon cost?

  A typical Falcon console costs approximately $18,000 to $23,000, including freight and professional installation. Final pricing depends on the size, features, and configuration you choose, with streamlined Falcons generally falling near the lower end of the range and fully equipped configurations near the higher end. 
  

• Is the Falcon customizable?

  Yes. While the Falcon is more standardized than the Eagle line, it still offers significant flexibility. Falcon is available in six work-surface widths from 66 to 96 inches, with configurable storage, interchangeable end panels, integrated lighting options, monitor positioning, and a customizable data dock. 

• How does the Falcon monitor system work?

  The Falcon uses the motorized Falcon Arc monitor system. A dedicated electric lift raises and lowers the entire monitor array independently, while 10 inches of fore-and-aft adjustment lets operators control viewing distance. Individual monitor mounts can also be adjusted for angle and landscape or portrait orientation. 
  

• Is the Falcon a sit-to-stand console?

  Yes. The Falcon provides a 22-inch to 48-inch height range, allowing operators to transition between seated and standing positions. Its 22-inch minimum work-surface height is made possible in part by relocating CPU and equipment storage into the suspended Aviary rather than placing it beneath the desk. 

• What Falcon sizes are available?

  The Falcon is available in six straight work-surface widths: 66, 72, 78, 84, 90, and 96 inches. This range allows Falcon to accommodate different room layouts and technology requirements while maintaining its standardized, self-contained design. 

• Does the Falcon include integrated lighting?

  Yes. The Falcon is compatible with Xybix Lumora and AXYS lighting systems. Available lighting includes ambient, task, bias, and footwell lighting, with options ranging from dimmable primary colors to software-controlled RGB lighting. 
  

• How is the Falcon installed?

  The Falcon is factory pre-wired and pre-assembled to the specified configuration. This reduces on-site work primarily to positioning and leveling the console and connecting building power and data. An optional pre-built power and data patch panel can also allow floor penetration locations to be planned in advance. 

• How do I know whether Falcon is right for my project?

  It primarily comes down to how much customization your project requires. Falcon is ideal for organizations looking for a streamlined, integrated console with plenty of configuration options and a simpler specification and installation process. The Eagle is better suited to projects requiring highly specialized layouts, dimensions, storage, technology integration, or other extensive customization.
