The Challenge: Central Lane Communications was in need of new dispatch furniture with an open layout, where both dispatchers and call-takers could be within the same space, but separated.

The Plan: Xybix's designer, Josi Gebhardt created several furniture options and space layouts using Xybix’s panel enclosure system, she was able to create a working space for both divisions of the communications center. The new furniture plan was also to include some of Xybix's exclusive features, such as I-Fit® and Data Dock.

The Execution: Xybix's team worked diligently with Central Lane Communications throughout the bid process and through the completed install of their new center. Everyone involved communicated weekly to resolve any issues and minimize the electrical work that needed to be done which ensured a smooth transition during the live cut-over. Xybix was able to bring Central Lane Communications' vision to life by helping them to create an optimal workspace solution uniquely suited for their needs.

The Challenge: The San Francisco Police Department was remodeling an existing building turning it into a new modern dispatch center in San Francisco, CA. They wanted custom designed high-end workstations to outfit their main floor as well as 4 training rooms. JoAnn Hicks, Technical Project Manager, looked to Xybix Systems for ergonomic height-adjustable furniture as well as a custom new design for the remodeled center from the ground up that would reflect the new space.

The Plan: Xybix will custom design a workstation layout that would work in the space provided as well as create good traffic flow for their employees. The Plan: Xybix will remodel and custom design a workstation layout that would work in their existing space provided. Kelley Smith, National Install Manager, will perform a phased install in order to accommodate the dispatch center being live during the install.

The Challenge: Winnipeg had recently built a brand new facility for their valuable staff. The Winnipeg Police Service had an interest in upgrading their dispatch consoles to ergonomic workstations. They looked to Xybix Systems, Inc. to develop and deliver a custom solution to meet their needs.

The Plan: Xybix developed and delivered a custom solution working with the Winnipeg team to meet their needs with their turnkey technology.

The Execution: Xybix designer, Josi Gebhardt, worked diligently with Dennis Dane, Communication System Coordinator to create floor plans and layouts for the installation of their new work stations that optimized the use of space, productivity and workflow. The ergonomic and technical workstations included: DataDock – a new innovation offered by Xybix that was not available on other vendor’s products. The keyboard or mouse can be switched out in seconds. This ability allows the dispatcher or call taker to modify their workstation to their ergonomic needs quickly and easily.
